PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that nighttime paving will continue next week on Kelly Drive as part of resurfacing projects across the five-county region.
From Monday, September 29, through Wednesday, October 8, one of two sections of Kelly Drive will be closed weeknights from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Closures will occur either between Ridge Avenue and Fountain Green Drive or between Reservoir Drive/Strawberry Mansion Drive and 25th Street, with posted detours in place.
The work, which has been ongoing since early August, includes milling, paving, and pavement repair. Upcoming closures will allow final paving operations to apply an ultra-thin bonded wearing course to protect the roadway, limit water damage, and improve skid resistance.
