WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced weeknight lane and ramp closures on I-476 as part of a $63.7 million resurfacing and repair project spanning nearly 17 miles between I-76 in Montgomery County and I-95 in Delaware County.
From Monday, October 6, through Friday, October 10, lane closures will occur nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on ramps to and from I-476 at Baltimore Pike/Media Swarthmore (Exit 3) for ramp meter upgrades. Additionally, from October 6 through October 31, weeknight lane closures will be in place between the I-76 and I-95 interchanges from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for bridge repair, paving, pipe replacement, and line striping.
PennDOT advises motorists to allow extra time, as delays and backups are expected. All activities are weather dependent.
