Night Closures on I-76, I-95 May Disrupt Regional Travel

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Bridge cleaning operations will bring overnight lane closures and daytime restrictions to several major highways across Philadelphia and Delaware County over the next two weeks.

On westbound I-76, a moving lane closure will be in place nightly between John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Spring Garden Street.

On I-95, moving lane closures will occur in both directions between Engle Street and Wanamaker Avenue, affecting multiple municipalities in Delaware County, including Chester, Ridley, and Tinicum townships, as well as the City of Chester and nearby boroughs.

On eastbound I-676 (Vine Street Expressway), a daytime lane shift will be in place between I-76 and 22nd Street.

Drivers should plan extra time, expect delays, and consider alternate routes when traveling through these corridors, especially during overnight hours.
