LOWER GWYNEDD TWP, PA — Drivers along U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) should plan for delays next week as PennDOT installs new signage and pavement markings aimed at reducing serious lane-departure crashes across the Philadelphia region.
Beginning Monday, December 1, and continuing through Friday, December 5, crews will close a lane in both directions at the intersection of U.S. 202 and Plymouth Road between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. PennDOT is warning motorists to expect backups and allow additional travel time while work is underway. All activity is weather dependent.
The installation is part of a broader federal effort to improve roadway safety by enhancing visibility and guiding drivers through high-risk areas. Road-Con, Inc., of West Chester, is handling construction under the $3.5 million federally funded project.
