New Psychiatry Residency Hub Opens at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Expanding Care

Main Line Health

BRYN MAWR, PAMain Line Health has opened a new centralized home for its first in-house Psychiatry Residency Program, marking a significant expansion of mental health training and patient access at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

The new suite, located in the Founder’s Building at 101 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., brings together psychology and psychotherapy services alongside psychiatry residents in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited program. Health system officials said the centralized location is designed to foster collaboration, strengthen education, and enhance patient care.

The opening follows the transition of psychiatry residents to Main Line Health after the closure of Crozer Health. By consolidating services and trainees under one roof, leaders said the program creates a cohesive learning environment while expanding access to care for the surrounding community.

Main Line Health said its residency programs emphasize hands-on clinical experience tailored to community needs. The Psychiatry Residency Program curriculum includes rotations in inpatient and outpatient settings and across specialties such as addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, consultation-liaison, geriatric psychiatry, and emergency psychiatry.

The program is led by Program Director Brittni Jones, DO. The new suite is staffed by eight psychologists and psychotherapists and five resident psychiatrists: Kenneth Wee and Robert Duprey, both PGY4 residents, and Asa Thompson, Reema Patel, and Zita Jones, all PGY3 residents.

The location officially opened December 8 and is now accepting new patients.

Main Line Health officials said the dedicated space advances the system’s broader growth strategy while addressing rising demand for mental health services. The expansion is intended to improve continuity of care, support physician training, and bring high-quality psychiatric services closer to home for patients across the Main Line.
