CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Morgan Properties has appointed Jonathan Morgan and Jason Morgan as co-chief executive officers, formalizing leadership roles they have held in overseeing the company’s strategy, investments and operations, the company announced.
Founder Mitchell Morgan will continue to serve as chairman.
The company also promoted seven executives to C-suite positions and named Greg Curci as its first chief operating officer as part of the leadership restructuring.
Morgan Properties said its portfolio has more than doubled over the past five years to more than 110,000 apartment units across 22 states, with more than half of its holdings wholly owned.
The company said Jonathan and Jason Morgan also led the firm’s expansion as a capital provider, deploying $2.5 billion in equity across credit strategies since 2017, including CMBS B-piece securities, whole loans and preferred equity.
Jonathan Morgan previously served as co-president of Morgan Properties and president of Morgan Properties JV, overseeing operations, acquisitions and capital markets. He earlier worked at Apollo Real Estate Advisors, focusing on high-yield debt and equity investments in real estate assets.
Jason Morgan previously served as co-president of Morgan Properties and president of Morgan Properties Special Situations, which focuses on multifamily acquisitions, fixed-income securities and debt investments. He previously worked at Sculptor Capital Management, formerly Och-Ziff Capital Management, concentrating on equity and debt investments in real estate.
“Our father built this company with a focus on drive, determination and entrepreneurial grit,” Jonathan Morgan said. “That mindset continues to guide us today.”
Jason Morgan said the leadership changes are intended to give the executive team more autonomy and speed decision-making. “These leadership changes empower our executive team with more autonomy, enabling us to move faster and continue to act boldly in uncertainty,” he said.
In addition to Curci as chief operating officer, the company promoted Stephen Waters to chief capital officer, Rimas Petrulis to chief investment officer, Marina Dikos to chief financial officer, Michael Schecter to chief legal officer, Samantha McQuown to head of property management, Andrew Orloff to chief strategy officer and Jessica Sachs to chief people officer.
Morgan Properties said it reinvested $300 million in 2025 into property improvements and maintenance across its portfolio.
