Miri Technologies Unveils miriOS, Expanding Access to Fault-Tolerant Internet Solutions

Business News

READING, PA — Pennsylvania-based connectivity innovator Miri Technologies Inc. used this past week’s NAB Show New York to debut miriOS™, a new software platform that brings its resilient, bonded internet technology to a wider range of users. The company, showcasing at booth 142 at the Javits Center, also announced significant upgrades to its flagship X510 dual-cellular bonding router.

Built on the OpenWrt framework and integrated with Speedify technology from partner Connectify Inc., miriOS fuses multiple internet sources — including Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G, and Starlink — to create uninterrupted connectivity in difficult environments. The system is designed for use cases ranging from live broadcasting and remote production to business continuity and emergency response.

The launch of miriOS marks the first time Miri’s fault-tolerant technology will extend beyond its proprietary hardware, beginning with the GL.iNet Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) travel router. This new compatibility gives small businesses, mobile users, and content creators access to reliable, multi-path internet without investing in enterprise-grade hardware.

“Our Miri X510 hardware is the ultimate bonding solution for mission-critical professional applications, but there are also huge numbers of consumers and small businesses who want resilient internet but with less extensive hardware needs,” said Ryan Brenneman, co-founder and chief technology officer at Miri Technologies. “miriOS for the GL.iNet Beryl AX router offers a cost-effective entry point for our fault-tolerant reliability and rich feature set, and we’re excited to get user feedback on it as we open up beta testing.”

Miri has opened beta testing for miriOS, with a full release planned for early next year. Beta testers can apply through the company’s website and will receive a free 90-day Speedify license. Miri X510 users can use their existing subscriptions, while new testers using the Beryl AX will need to subscribe to Speedify after the trial period.

The company also announced that many of miriOS’s new capabilities will soon arrive on the Miri X510 router via a firmware update. The upgrade introduces a new Load Balancing mode, giving users a flexible alternative to Bonding mode. Load Balancing uses multiple connections for additional bandwidth and instant failover protection without sending traffic through a bonding server.

Other advancements include Speedify’s Performance-Enhancing Proxy (PEP), which increases data throughput across mixed network types, and improved jitter management tools for live streamers using legacy RTMP protocols.

With miriOS and the enhanced X510, Miri Technologies continues to broaden access to dependable, high-speed internet — positioning itself as a key player in resilient connectivity for both professional and consumer markets.
