PHILADELPHIA, PA — Mid Penn Bank, a subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: MPB), has appointed Abe Ibrahim as first senior vice president and regional president of the Central Philadelphia region. He will oversee the bank’s growth and expansion strategy across the metropolitan market, reporting to Scott Micklewright, president of commercial and consumer banking and chief revenue officer.
Ibrahim brings more than 15 years of experience in commercial banking and leadership. Most recently, he was senior vice president of commercial and middle market banking at Truist Bank, managing clients with revenues between $10 million and $250 million across Philadelphia and South Jersey. He previously held senior roles at Northwest Bank, Santander Bank, and Citizens Bank.
“Abe’s depth of experience and his strong relationships in the greater Philadelphia area make him a tremendous addition to our leadership team,” Micklewright said. “He will play a crucial role as we expand our footprint and serve even more customers across the Central Philadelphia region.”
A Temple University Fox School of Business graduate, Ibrahim has been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal and Al Dia as a 40 Under 40 honoree. He also serves on the executive board of Friends for Good, the advisory council for the Greenlight Fund, and the board of the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation. Known for mentoring future banking leaders, he has also led financial literacy seminars to help young adults prepare for long-term financial success.
