Mid Penn Bank Appoints Eric Murchison as Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer

PHILADELPHIA, PAMid Penn Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: MPB), announced the appointment of Eric Murchison as vice president and commercial loan officer. Based at the bank’s Comly office in Philadelphia, Murchison will serve commercial clients throughout the greater Philadelphia area and report to Abe Ibrahim, senior vice president and regional president for the Philadelphia City region.

Murchison brings more than a decade of experience in developing credit and banking strategies for commercial and middle-market clients. Before joining Mid Penn, he served as vice president and business banking relationship manager at WSFS Bank, where he managed a portfolio of commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate (CRE) clients. His career also includes leadership positions at Citadel Credit Union and S&T Bank, where he helped expand business banking programs and design customized financial solutions for growing enterprises.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Murchison has also completed advanced coursework in commercial banking and credit risk analysis. A Philadelphia native, he is widely recognized for his relationship-focused approach to banking, emphasizing access to capital, strategic financing, and long-term partnership development.

Murchison is the author of Who’s Your Banker?, a practical guide designed to help business owners strengthen relationships with their financial institutions and better understand the lending process. Beyond his professional work, he serves on the boards of BTechPhilly and Collaborative Breakfast on the Mainline and is a director for the BOLD Program. He also dedicates time to mentorship and financial literacy initiatives, leading educational sessions and workshops for entrepreneurs and young professionals.
