KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Medecision has struck a strategic partnership with Sendero Health Plans, a nonprofit, community-based HMO affiliated with Central Health, to strengthen care coordination and improve health outcomes for members across Central Texas.
The collaboration brings Medecision’s Data & Intelligence Platform, Care Management Platform, and Guided Health Journeys to Sendero’s operations, aiming to deepen engagement with members and sharpen coordination among local providers through data-driven insights. The companies said the effort will focus on improving access to care and delivering more personalized interventions for members with complex needs.
Sendero, founded in 2011, serves as a member-focused health plan offering individualized services and community-based programs. President and Chief Executive Officer Sharon Alvis said the partnership reflects the organization’s ongoing push to add value for members while supporting the health of the communities it serves, particularly among populations facing higher risks and barriers to care.
Medecision Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Young said the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to expand equitable access and drive regional health improvement. He said Medecision’s platform is designed to reduce medical and administrative costs while improving the experience for both members and patients, a combination that is increasingly important as health plans face rising cost pressures and higher expectations for outcomes.
Medecision operates as a subsidiary of Health Care Service Corporation and provides technology solutions to health plans, administrators, government entities, and care organizations nationwide. Its clinical data platform supports care delivery for more than 42 million individuals in the United States.
The partnership comes as nonprofit and regional health plans look to technology-driven approaches to manage costs, improve outcomes, and better coordinate care in local markets, particularly for vulnerable populations with complex medical and social needs.
