PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Mann Center for the Performing Arts has named Dennis Bianchi, senior vice president and general manager of WTXF FOX 29, to its Board of Directors. Bianchi brings decades of leadership experience in broadcast television as the Mann continues expanding its reach with diverse, multi-genre programming.
“Bianchi is one of Philadelphia’s most accomplished broadcast executives, and we are incredibly fortunate to have his support as a board member at the Mann,” said Catherine M. Cahill, president and CEO of the Mann Center. “We will benefit from his insights and expertise as we continue to develop dynamic approaches for building audiences and enriching experiences for concert patrons, artists, and communities across the region.”
In addition to his role at FOX 29, Bianchi serves as vice president and general manager of Fairfax Productions, which produced “Chasing News,” a program he created. Before joining FOX 29 in 2012, he was president and general manager of WCAU NBC 10 in Philadelphia, where he also oversaw NBC Philadelphia Nonstop and NBCPhiladelphia.com. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president of finance and later chief financial officer for NBC Asia, based in Hong Kong.
“Throughout my career, I’ve seen the vital role that arts and entertainment play in inspiring and connecting people and communities,” Bianchi said. “I’m honored to support the Mann, an institution that does this beautifully and is constantly evolving and innovating to ensure its continued impact.”
Bianchi has also been deeply involved in civic and cultural organizations, previously serving as chairman of the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia’s Board of Directors. He continues to serve on the boards of PAL Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.
His appointment strengthens the Mann Center’s leadership as it works to broaden its impact and engage new audiences across the region.
