PHILADELPHIA, PA — Manayunk will once again celebrate National Coming Out Day with the return of Out & About in MNYK, a three-day festival highlighting LGBTQ+ artists, performers, and community organizations. The main event takes place Saturday, October 4, 2025, on Main Street, with additional merchant-hosted activities scheduled for Friday and Sunday.
Organized by the Manayunk Development Corporation, the festival has grown since its launch in 2019 into one of the neighborhood’s signature fall events. This year’s lineup features drag performances, live music, an artisan vendor market, a karaoke competition, and a live shadowcast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center.
“Out & About in MNYK highlights the diversity and heart of Manayunk,” said Janine Gasarowski, branding and digital marketing manager for the Manayunk Development Corporation. “We’re proud to stand with the LGBTQ+ community and create a space where everyone feels seen, celebrated and welcomed.”
The Philadelphia Freedom Band will march down Main Street, Philly Drag Mafia will host drag story time and an open-air show, and Transylvanian Nipple Productions will stage two Rocky Horror screenings. A new shuttle will connect Out & About with Roxtoberfest on Ridge Avenue, allowing attendees to move easily between the two celebrations.
The weekend begins Friday night with Drag Bingo at Winnie’s and a miscast Broadway cabaret at Fat Lady Brewing. Saturday’s main festival includes an artisan vendor market at Canal View Park and RichardsApex Lot, drag story time, and the first Manayunk Idol Karaoke Competition. Sunday closes with a drag brunch at Fat Lady Brewing.
