MANAYUNK, PA — Cabin fever meets comfort food as Manayunk’s restaurant row fires up the flavor for the first-ever winter edition of Manayunk Restaurant Week.
From March 2 through March 8, more than 20 owner- and chef-driven eateries along Historic Downtown Manayunk and Main Street will offer special prix fixe menus ranging from $15 to $45. Diners can expect two-, three-, and even five- and six-course options for lunch and dinner — making late winter the perfect excuse for a night out in one of Philadelphia’s most walkable dining districts.
Following the successful return of the fall event after a five-year hiatus, the Manayunk Development Corporation expanded the celebration into early March, giving food lovers another reason to explore the neighborhood before spring officially arrives.
“After the return and success of our Fall Restaurant Week, we knew it was a great way to highlight our chefs, our diverse flavors, and some of the newest menu items our restaurants added — as we begin to get ready to welcome the warmer weather,” said Executive Director Gwen McCauley. “For the most part, Manayunk restaurants are owner/chef-operated, giving diners a chance to really get to know the restaurateurs in this community.”
From $15 taco trios and burger pairings at spots like Taqueria Amor and Lucky’s Last Chance to $45 multi-course Italian, Thai, Japanese, and Mediterranean tasting menus at Mia Ragazza, Chabaa Thai Bistro, Yanako, and Zesty’s, there’s something for every appetite and budget. Brendan McGrew of Voracious Hospitality Group added, “The different price points allow diners to choose a menu that works for their budget while giving each restaurant the opportunity to highlight some of their favorite dishes.”
For Chester County residents, it’s an easy day trip or date-night destination — hop on the train or drive in and restaurant-hop your way down Main Street.
