LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — Drivers traveling through Montgomery County should brace for delays next week as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) continues reconstruction work on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
From Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, lane closures will impact both directions of the highway. Westbound lanes between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges will be restricted from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, while eastbound lanes between the same interchanges will see closures from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
PennDOT also reminds motorists that Sanatoga Road remains closed between Linfield Road and High Street through Monday, December 1, as crews complete demolition of the westbound side of the bridge over U.S. 422. The posted detour directs drivers to use High Street, Evergreen Road, and Linfield Road.
The ongoing work is part of a broader initiative to enhance safety and extend the life of the heavily traveled expressway. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time when traveling through the construction zone.
