Major Detour Ahead as Turnpike Bridge Work Shuts Down Kumry Road Next Week

Travel Restrictions

MILFORD TWP, PA — Drivers in upper Bucks County should brace for significant delays next week as the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission continues bridge construction that will close a key stretch of Kumry Road.

From Monday, December 15, through Friday, December 19, Kumry Road will be closed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Rosenberger Road and Walnut Lane. The shutdown is required for ongoing overhead bridge work tied to long-term Turnpike infrastructure improvements.

Passenger vehicles will be detoured via Allentown Road, Route 663 (John Fries Highway), and Krammes Road. Larger trucks will follow a separate detour using Main Street, Broad Street, Tollgate Road, Route 309 (West End Boulevard), and Route 663.
