The company’s flagship therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is the first and only treatment approved by both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Commission for MASH patients with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). Rezdiffra is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed thyroid hormone receptor beta (THR-β) agonist designed to target the underlying metabolic and fibrotic mechanisms driving the disease.

Madrigal is also conducting a Phase 3 outcomes trial to assess Rezdiffra’s potential benefits in patients with compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). The study is expected to further define the drug’s long-term impact on disease progression and patient outcomes.
