LOWER SALFORD TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced an extensive construction project on Route 63 (Main Street) in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, set to begin later this month.
Starting Thursday, July 17, and continuing through Wednesday, September 16, 2026, crews will carry out storm drainage upgrades along with curb and sidewalk improvements as part of a local safety enhancement initiative. The work will require weekday lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Quarry Road/American Way and Ruth Road/Ruth Court.
PennDOT is urging drivers to allow extra travel time when navigating this corridor, warning of potential backups and delays. All construction activities are contingent on favorable weather conditions.
