WILMINGTON, DE — LIO, formerly known as Oxehealth, has launched an all-in-one technology platform for inpatient mental health facilities, combining compliance reporting, advanced digital observations, and adaptive monitoring modes. The debut comes amid a 500% U.S. expansion for the company since the start of 2025.
“This platform launch marks a pivotal moment for inpatient mental health care,” said CEO Todd Haedrich. “LIO represents a fundamental evolution of our capabilities, addressing the most pressing challenges facing providers today and for the next decade while helping facilities enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency.”
The system uses a patented infrared technology to remotely and contactlessly monitor patients, measuring sleep, vital signs, and activity through FDA-cleared software without disturbing them. It enables clinicians to conduct safety observations anywhere in the unit — even in shared spaces and corridors — and offers hospital leaders tools to maintain regulatory compliance and oversight.
LIO’s technology builds on more than 15 years of global clinical collaboration, with deployments in hundreds of mental health facilities. Evidence from large-scale use suggests a 100-bed facility could prevent over 400 safety incidents annually, save 27,500 staff hours, and reduce costs by roughly $700,000.
“LIO brings together everything we need in one platform — digital rounding, ambient monitoring and compliance reporting,” said Dr. Mike Genovese, Chief Medical Officer at Access TeleCare and LIO board member. “It enables us to go beyond checking regulatory boxes; frontline staff and clinical leaders now have the insights to focus on what really matters: delivering exceptional patient care.”
Installations typically take one to two weeks, minimizing disruption to facility operations. Future upgrades will include patient recognition for identity verification and enterprise-level analytics to track safety performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve efficiency across provider networks.
“This is just the beginning,” Haedrich added. “We are building for the future of mental health — and we’re inviting providers, partners, and innovators to join us.”
