Lincoln Financial

RADNOR, PALincoln Financial (NYSE: LNC) has partnered with wellness advocate and podcast host Rich Roll to launch a new four-part content series titled The Action Plan. This initiative, an extension of Lincoln Financial’s ongoing campaign, aims to inspire Americans to actively prepare for retirement while pursuing their passions and maintaining healthy, fulfilling lifestyles.

The series features Roll engaging with a lineup of notable guests, including tennis icon and pickleball enthusiast Andre Agassi, country music star Walker Hayes, two-time Olympian and Ironman athlete Sarah True, and financial author Morgan Housel. Together, they explore the intersection of wellness, personal passions, and financial security, sharing insights into how preparation can empower individuals to thrive well into their retirement years.

Rich Roll, who has built a devoted following through his podcast, shared his personal motivation for collaborating with Lincoln Financial. “I remember turning 30 and thinking my life was over. Little did I know, I’d write my first book at age 44. I didn’t start a podcast until I was 45. Now at 58-years-old, I’m having more fun than ever and truly making the most of this time in my life,” said Roll. “With Lincoln Financial’s help, we’re taking the podcast out of the studio and into action, combining my passions with those of my guests to uncover how to live fulfilled, long, and healthy lives.”

Episodes of The Action Plan include in-depth discussions as Roll participates in the hobbies of his guests. The premiere episode features Andre Agassi introducing Roll to pickleball, a sport that has become Agassi’s latest passion. Reflecting on his career and personal lessons, Agassi noted, “I was only 16 when I started playing tennis professionally. There’s no real way to prepare for having nothing and then having everything, unless you actively seek advice. Figuring out how you really want to live and thinking about your future is important.”

Lincoln Financial’s campaign was informed by a national survey that revealed 77% of Americans in their 50s and 60s view retirement as a time to pursue passions and pastimes they missed during their working years. However, the same survey showed that only 11% have planned or budgeted for these pursuits. To address this gap, the series encourages viewers to prioritize financial planning, emphasizing how Lincoln’s products can help ensure a secure future.

Kathy Kavanaugh, Lincoln Financial’s Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, explained the series’ purpose. “We’ve learned that people do not view retirement as a time to slow down, but an opportunity to explore the passions they want to continue to enjoy. By partnering with Rich Roll on this next phase of The Action Plan, we are empowering older Americans to take the next step and work with a financial planner to help ensure you are prepared to pursue your pastimes well into the future.”
