Leadership Shake-Up Sparks Bold Growth Strategy at Fidem Financial

PHILADELPHIA, PAFidem Financial has expanded its executive ranks with four senior appointments, adding experience across finance, marketing, corporate development, and legal operations as the company positions itself for its next phase of growth. The firm announced the addition of Nayan Kisnadwala as chief financial officer, Rachana Bhatt as chief marketing officer, Tony Hill as head of corporate development, and Susan Steinthal as general counsel.

Kisnadwala joins with more than 30 years of experience scaling financial services organizations. His background includes leading multiple private equity-backed firms, steering turnarounds, and holding senior posts at Citi, American Express, Fiserv, MBNA, and Barclays. He holds an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Bhatt brings three decades of brand and commercial leadership to Fidem. She previously served as executive vice president and head of unsecured lending at PNC Bank, where she expanded the business to $11 billion. Her earlier work at Barclays, JPMorgan Chase, Capital One, and Procter & Gamble helped build some of the industry’s most recognizable consumer brands. Bhatt holds an MBA from The Wharton School and dual degrees in economics and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Hill, appointed to lead corporate development, has more than 20 years of experience shaping strategy across financial services. Before joining Fidem, he served as managing director and head of card and personal lending strategy at Wells Fargo, guiding growth efforts across consumer lending. He is a Bucknell University graduate and remains active in several Delaware-area nonprofit organizations.

Steinthal assumes the role of general counsel with more than 20 years of legal, compliance, and risk leadership. She previously served as chief legal officer at Mercury Financial and held senior legal roles at Citizens Bank and Citi. She earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her A.B. from Princeton University.

“Each of these leaders brings deep expertise and an entrepreneurial mindset to Fidem,” said Sanji Gunawardena, president and chief executive officer. He said the new team will help drive platform expansion and strengthen partnerships as the company targets new opportunities in a competitive financial services landscape.
