CLAYMONT, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that left a Pennsylvania man injured late Friday evening in the parking lot of a Claymont liquor store.
Troopers said the incident occurred on September 5, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., when they were dispatched to Ridge Liquors, located at 315 Ridge Road, after receiving reports that a 34-year-old man had arrived at a Pennsylvania hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.
The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was in the liquor store’s parking lot when unidentified suspects opened fire. Despite his injuries, the man was able to drive himself to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The case is being handled by the Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit, which continues to pursue leads. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting or the suspects to contact Detective M. Conway at (302) 365-8411.
