LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that periodic lane closures will be in place next week on U.S. 422 in Montgomery County as part of a major reconstruction effort.
From Monday, August 18, through Friday, August 22, westbound U.S. 422 will experience intermittent lane restrictions between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM. During the same period, eastbound U.S. 422 will see periodic lane closures between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) interchanges from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The closures are part of PennDOT’s $83.6 million project to reconstruct 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road. Motorists should anticipate delays, as traffic backups are likely. All schedules remain dependent on weather conditions.
