LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming nighttime lane closures on eastbound U.S. 422 in Montgomery County as part of an $83.6 million reconstruction and improvement project.
From Monday, August 11, through Friday, August 15, a single-lane closure will be in effect nightly from 4:00 PM to 5:00 AM between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) interchanges.
PennDOT advises motorists to expect backups and delays in the area and to plan accordingly. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
The ongoing project spans approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and includes bridge replacements between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road, aimed at enhancing safety and improving long-term roadway performance.
