PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that multiple Philadelphia roadways will face daytime and overnight lane closures next week as part of ongoing resurfacing projects across the region.
From Monday, September 22, through Friday, September 26, work will take place on Penn Square near City Hall, Moyamensing Avenue/Penrose Avenue (Route 291), Chestnut Street, Walnut Street, and Rhawn Street. Crews will perform milling, inlet and manhole repairs, and paving to extend roadway life and improve driving conditions.
Drivers should expect significant delays and plan extra travel time. All work is weather dependent.
