Lane Closures Planned on Route 232 in Northampton Township for Safety Improvements

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced continued construction along Route 232 (2nd Street Pike) in Northampton Township, Bucks County, as part of an ongoing safety enhancement initiative.

Beginning Friday, August 1, and continuing through Friday, August 29, a weekday lane closure with flagging will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The impacted stretch of Route 232 lies between Tanyard Road and Upper Holland Road.

The scheduled work includes slab repairs, installation of curbs and sidewalks, guiderail construction, and road paving. These efforts aim to improve pedestrian access and vehicular safety along the corridor.

Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and allow extra travel time when moving through the construction zone. PennDOT noted that all scheduled activities are weather dependent.
