MIDDLETOWN TWP, PA — Drivers in Bucks County should expect daytime delays throughout April as PennDOT continues construction on several key roadways tied to a congestion relief project.
At a Glance:
- Roads Affected: Langhorne-Yardley Road, Woodbourne Road, Ellis Road
- Dates: Wednesday, April 1, through Thursday, April 30
- Times: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (weekdays)
- Reason: Roadway construction and intersection improvements
PennDOT said periodic lane closures with flagging will occur along Langhorne-Yardley Road between Bridgetown Pike and Briggs Road, Woodbourne Road between Kilburn Road and the entrance to Core Creek Park, and Ellis Road between Fulling Mill Road and Woodbourne Road.
No detour is planned, but drivers should expect intermittent stoppages and slow-moving traffic through active work zones. Plan extra time or seek alternate routes to avoid congestion, especially during midday travel.
The work is part of a $10.9 million project aimed at improving traffic flow and safety, including recent completion of a roundabout at Langhorne-Yardley Road and Bridgetown Pike and ongoing upgrades at the Woodbourne Road intersection.
Motorists are urged to remain alert, follow flagging crews, and reduce speeds in construction areas.
