Lancaster’s Noah Skirrow Named Atlantic League Pitcher of the Year

Lancaster Stormers

LANCASTER, PALancaster Stormers right-hander Noah Skirrow has been named the 2025 Atlantic League Pitcher of the Year, capping an outstanding debut season in the league and marking Lancaster’s first recipient of the honor since 2018.

Skirrow, 27, led the league with 15 wins, including victories in his final 10 decisions, becoming just the third pitcher in franchise history to reach that mark. He joins Denny Harriger, who won 17 games in 2006, and Dwayne Pollok, who notched 18 in 2013. Since Pollok’s performance, only one other pitcher—Southern Maryland’s Daryl Thompson—has reached 15 wins in a season.

In addition to leading the league in victories, Skirrow finished second in both ERA (3.99) and strikeouts (143), narrowly missing the Lancaster franchise strikeout record. His season included three shutouts and a 10-strikeout outing on July 23 against Hagerstown.

The Cambridge, Ontario native opened the year with a 9–1 win over Long Island on April 25 and rebounded from a midseason 5.23 ERA to close with one of the strongest stretches in Stormers history. Skirrow previously spent four seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies organization, reaching Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he won eight games in 2023. He also represented Team Canada in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, throwing five shutout innings against Colombia.

“Skirrow is very deserving of this award,” said Lancaster manager Ross Peeples. “He never missed a start and goes about his business the right way between starts. He kept us in games and gave us a chance to win each time out. I am very proud of him and to have the winner of this award come from our organization.”

The Atlantic League, a Professional Partner League of Major League Baseball, recognized Skirrow as part of its annual postseason honors, celebrating standout performances across its 10-team circuit. The award marks the fifth time in the Stormers’ 20-season history that a Lancaster pitcher has received the league’s top pitching honor.
