LANCASTER, PA — While the Lancaster Stormers continue their push toward the 2025 postseason, fans can already look ahead as the Atlantic League has unveiled the team’s 2026 schedule, featuring a revamped series format and notable matchups throughout the season.

The upcoming season will adopt a structure now common in affiliated minor leagues, shifting to six-game series played Tuesday through Sunday. Lancaster will play 16 such series, beginning the second week of the season.

The Stormers open the 2026 campaign on Tuesday, April 21, with a three-game road series against the York Revolution before returning home on Friday, April 24, to host the Long Island Ducks. Staten Island follows with a six-game stretch at Penn Medicine Park starting April 28.

The schedule features key home-and-away stretches, including a nine-game road trip to Staten Island and Southern Maryland from May 19 to 28, and another nine-game homestand from September 1 to 10, welcoming Southern Maryland and Hagerstown.

Notable travel plans include six-game road trips to Lexington, Gastonia, and Charleston, while High Point is absent from the road slate. Conversely, Lancaster will host Gastonia, High Point, and Southern Maryland but won’t see Lexington or Charleston visit Penn Medicine Park.

The Stormers will face the Long Island Ducks 24 times, their most frequent opponent, followed by 21 games each against Staten Island and Southern Maryland. The rivalry with York remains intense, with 18 “War of the Roses” games scheduled, 12 of which will be played in Lancaster. Interestingly, the Stormers will meet division rival Hagerstown just nine times, closing both halves of the season against the Flying Boxcars.

The 126-game regular season wraps up on Sunday, September 13, with the playoffs set to begin on Tuesday, September 15.

Entering their 21st season, the Stormers continue to play home games at Penn Medicine Park, which has been named Ballpark Digest’s “Best Ballpark” in MLB Partner League Baseball three times. The new format promises a streamlined schedule and more consistency for fans following the team’s playoff pursuit in 2026.
