LANCASTER, PA — Kiddie Academy® Educational Child Care has officially opened its 350th franchised location in Lancaster, PA, marking a significant milestone for the family-owned national child care provider. The new facility, operated by locals Cassie and Austin Fenerty, held its grand opening on June 7, showcasing their commitment to accessible, quality child care in the community.

“It’s an honor to celebrate the 350th Academy opening in Lancaster,” said Casey Miller, Kiddie Academy’s third-generation CEO. “With every new Academy that’s established, we’re building on the mission my grandparents envisioned when they founded Kiddie Academy in 1981.”

Over the past 45 years, Kiddie Academy has grown to include locations in 40 states and Washington, D.C., focusing on nurturing, educating, and inspiring children. For the Fenertys, launching their Academy was inspired by their own challenges in securing quality care for their two young children.

“We chose to open Kiddie Academy of Lancaster because we saw a true need for child care that nurtures the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally,” said Cassie Fenerty. “We’re not just a place for children to be cared for — we’re a place where they are known, challenged, and celebrated.”

The new facility, located at 251 South Centerville Road, features 11 classrooms and a spacious playground designed with a local theme, showcasing structures inspired by the area’s farming community, such as a barn and farmer’s market. Licensed to serve 160 children, the Academy employs 25 educators dedicated to creating a stimulating and supportive environment for early childhood development.

The opening of the Lancaster location underscores Kiddie Academy’s growth while staying true to its mission of empowering entrepreneurs to make a difference in their communities.
