Interactive Video Deal Targets Booking Gap for Independent Hotels

PHILADELPHIA, PAHovr, an interactive video storytelling platform focused on hotels and resorts, has entered into a new partnership with Curator Hotel & Resort Collection aimed at giving independent properties access to modern video tools designed to drive engagement and bookings.

Under the agreement, Curator’s member hotels will be able to integrate Hovr’s interactive video formats directly into their websites, replacing static images and text with immersive, guided video experiences. The companies say the approach allows hotels to better convey their sense of place and personality online, a growing challenge as many hospitality websites adopt similar layouts and design conventions.

Hovr’s technology transforms existing web pages into video-driven storytelling environments that walk prospective guests through rooms, dining options, amenities, and on-property experiences. The videos are paired with calls to action and performance analytics, enabling hotels to track engagement and understand which content influences booking decisions.

“Independent hotels deserve digital tools that match the quality of their guest experience,” said Jason Craparo, founder and chief executive officer of Hovr. He said the partnership with Curator expands access to interactive video while helping travelers better understand what makes each property distinct before they arrive.

Curator Hotel & Resort Collection, which supports independent hotels through shared services and programs, said video is becoming increasingly central to how travelers research and select accommodations. Brent Hayhurst, Curator’s vice president of program development, said the partnership offers members a cost-effective way to convert their websites into interactive experiences that are easier to share and more effective at driving bookings.

The collaboration is positioned as a turnkey option for hoteliers, requiring no website redesign or heavy development work. Hovr said early adopters have reported increases in click-through rates, time spent on site, and downstream conversions, signaling stronger traveler confidence during the booking process.

Hovr has already begun working with several Curator member properties, including Fidelity Hotel in Cleveland, Hotel Revival in Baltimore, Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg, Texas, El Capitan Hotel in Merced, California, and San Diego Mission Bay Resort. As part of the partnership, Curator members will receive preferred pricing, dedicated onboarding support, and access to joint best-practice resources tailored to independent hotel operators.

The companies said the partnership reflects a broader shift in hospitality marketing, where richer digital storytelling is becoming a competitive necessity rather than a luxury.
