PHILADELPHIA, PA — Insomnia Cookies is turning National Cookie Day into a major celebration, rolling out a limited-edition holiday cookie and a nationwide giveaway tied to the company’s milestone 350th store opening.
On Dec. 4, the bakery chain will debut its Snowball Classic cookie — a warm sugar cookie filled with buttercream and dusted with powdered sugar and edible glitter. The first 100 Insomnia Rewards members who visit participating U.S. locations will receive one free, fresh from the oven, while supplies last.
Insomnia is also giving customers a chance to win free cookies for a year. Inside one Snowball Classic cookie at every bakery will be a hidden burst of purple buttercream, signaling a winning treat. With 350 stores now open worldwide, as many as 350 customers could claim the giveaway.
To verify their prize, winners must photograph the purple-filled cookie alongside their receipt and upload the image using a QR code available in-store. Entries are due by 3 a.m. PST on Dec. 6, and winners will be contacted within seven business days.
The late-night bakery said its National Cookie Day celebration is aimed at rewarding loyal customers and marking its expanding footprint across the U.S. and beyond.
