Incyte Names Soni Basi as Chief Human Resources Officer

WILMINGTON, DE — Incyte (Nasdaq: INCY) has appointed Soni Basi as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective August 25. She will join the company’s Executive Leadership Team and oversee its global human resources strategy, including talent recruitment, organizational development, and professional training.

“Soni has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of human resources,” said Bill Meury, Incyte’s president and CEO. “She is a skilled professional and collaborative leader who will bring a strategic mindset and operational focus to the company. Soni will play a key role in attracting, developing and retaining top talent at Incyte and preparing the organization for the next phase of growth.”

Basi brings more than 25 years of experience in global HR and organizational leadership. She most recently served as CHRO at Edelman, where she led a team of more than 200 professionals. Her career also includes senior roles in global talent management at AIG, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, The Estée Lauder Companies, and Schering-Plough. She holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in social psychology from Bowling Green State University.

She succeeds Paula Swain, Incyte’s longtime head of human resources, who retired earlier this year.
