NEW CASTLE, DE — IgniteData announced the appointment of two senior executives, naming Laura Hilty as chief strategy officer and Joe Lengfellner as chief product officer, moves the company says will accelerate its growth as demand intensifies for faster, more reliable clinical data exchange.
Chief Executive Officer Zach Taft said the additions mark a pivotal moment for IgniteData as its Archer platform gains traction across digital health and clinical research.
“In digital health and clinical research, real innovation takes more than cutting-edge technology; it takes exceptional leaders with the vision, experience, and drive to put that technology to work,” Taft said. He added that Hilty and Lengfellner bring a proven ability to build and scale impactful technology solutions as the company works to streamline how clinical data moves between research sites and sponsors.
Hilty brings nearly two decades of experience spanning corporate strategy, product management, partnerships, and corporate development across healthcare and clinical research technology companies, including leadership roles at Advarra, Forte Research Systems, and Epic. She also serves as a principal at HealthX Ventures, a digital health-focused venture capital firm, and has been an investor in IgniteData. In her new role, Hilty will focus on product planning, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology from Vanderbilt University.
“For the better portion of my almost two decades in clinical research, I have been passionate about solving site and sponsor inefficiency problems in clinical trials,” Hilty said. “IgniteData epitomizes how these challenges can be solved through a deeply collaborative and comprehensive approach.”
Lengfellner joins IgniteData from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he spent more than 15 years leading digital health and clinical research informatics initiatives. Most recently, he served as senior director of clinical research informatics and technology, overseeing teams that supported the institution’s global clinical research portfolio. As chief product officer, Lengfellner will lead product innovation and delivery focused on improving the speed and reliability of clinical data flow. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
“In my career, I have seen first-hand how difficult it can be to transfer clinical data between sites and sponsors and how costly delays emerge when these processes break down,” Lengfellner said. “I am thrilled to join an organization that is uniquely positioned to help clinical research teams overcome these persistent challenges.”
IgniteData said the leadership appointments position the company to scale its technology and support more efficient clinical trials as the industry pushes to bring new treatments to patients faster.
