ICYMI: Proscia Deepens AWS Partnership to Advance Digital Pathology with Cloud Integration

Proscia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Proscia® has expanded its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) by integrating its Concentriq® digital pathology platform with AWS HealthImaging, aiming to help laboratories and life sciences organizations better manage rising data volumes and overcome fragmentation in medical imaging.

Pathology plays a central role in healthcare, guiding up to 70% of clinical decisions. Proscia’s Concentriq platform, delivered as Software-as-a-Service on AWS, is designed to maximize the value of this information by combining workflow tools, interoperability, and native AI with enterprise-grade security and scalability. The new integration brings Concentriq’s pathology data management into AWS HealthImaging, a HIPAA-eligible service built for storing and analyzing whole slide images at massive scale.

Key benefits include faster image retrieval with sub-second access times, standardized DICOM-native storage to align pathology with radiology and other imaging fields, simplified migration of legacy archives, and seamless access to data for AI development.

“Expanding our collaboration with AWS through the AWS HealthImaging integration builds on the success we’ve collectively achieved in helping leading laboratories and life sciences organizations scale AI in pathology,” said Coleman Stavish, Proscia’s chief technology officer. “It reinforces our commitment to interoperability and DICOM standardization while empowering customers to harness the latest cloud services to advance precision medicine.”

The integration builds on Proscia’s existing participation in the AWS Partner Network. About 70% of its customers already run Concentriq on AWS, with implementations reported to be up to five times faster and less costly than legacy or on-premises systems. Proscia is also part of AWS’s ISV Accelerate and ISV Workload Migration programs, which support security validation, sales collaboration, and smoother customer transitions to the cloud.
