PHILADELPHIA, PA — After a decade-long hiatus, the Philadelphia Cycling Classic will return in 2026 with AmeriGas Propane L.P., a subsidiary of UGI Corporation, stepping in as title sponsor.

The race, scheduled for August 30, 2026, will bring back the iconic 14-mile circuit through city neighborhoods, highlighted by the steep climb up the Manayunk Wall. Once among North America’s premier cycling events, the Classic drew more than 100,000 spectators and international competitors during its peak.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker said the event’s revival “will again put Philadelphia on the global stage in 2026 and allow us to reestablish its legacy for years to come.” Race organizers emphasized AmeriGas’ role as a critical partner in restoring both the competition and its economic and community benefits.
