PHILADELPHIA, PA — Hyperion Bank has once again secured a place on Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, which highlights the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. The community bank, founded 18 years ago, ranked No. 3,127 on the 2025 list, reflecting three-year revenue growth of 129 percent.
This marks Hyperion’s second consecutive year on the ranking. In 2024, the bank appeared at No. 3,835 with 120 percent growth over the prior three years. Its continued upward trajectory underscores both the bank’s expanding presence in the financial services sector and its ability to maintain steady growth amid economic volatility.
“Our customers, business partners and team members make this growth and success possible,” said Charlie Crawford, Hyperion CEO and Chair. “While I’m certainly proud of the recognition for our growth, what matters most is that we achieved it without losing sight of what sets us apart: connecting customers with knowledgeable, approachable bankers who are empowered to make local decisions.”
Hyperion was one of 202 financial services organizations to make the 2025 Inc. 5000 and one of 91 Pennsylvania companies recognized. In the broader Mid-Atlantic region spanning Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, it was among just 82 firms to earn a spot.
The achievement comes during Crawford’s tenure as Board Chair of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers, a role he will soon complete. He emphasized that recognition like the Inc. 5000 is both a reflection of customer loyalty and a motivator to continue raising standards of service.
Mike Hofman, editor-in-chief of Inc., noted the broader significance of this year’s honorees. “Making the Inc. 5000 is always a remarkable achievement, but earning a spot this year speaks volumes about a company’s tenacity and clarity of vision,” Hofman said. “These businesses have thrived amid rising costs, shifting global dynamics and constant change.”
For Hyperion, the recognition serves as validation of its business model: combining financial growth with a focus on personal service and local decision-making. As Crawford put it, “Growth is a milestone, but it’s our team’s dedication to personalized service that made it possible.”
