TRAPPE, PA — History lovers, collectors, and curious visitors alike will have a rare opportunity to step inside centuries of American craftsmanship as the inaugural Pennsylvania Antiques Show makes its debut this spring near Valley Forge.
Presented by Historic Trappe, the four-day event will bring together nationally renowned antiques dealers, museum-quality exhibitions, and engaging educational programming—all timed to build momentum toward the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
Held at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, the show promises an immersive experience where visitors can explore fine art, decorative objects, and historical artifacts spanning more than three centuries.
A Showcase of Exceptional Art and Antiques
The Pennsylvania Antiques Show will feature 64 of the country’s leading dealers, offering a wide range of pieces including Americana, paintings, ceramics, silver, jewelry, and European and Chinese decorative arts dating from the 17th through 20th centuries.
Organizers say the event is designed to appeal to both seasoned collectors and newcomers, creating an approachable way for attendees to engage with history through tangible objects.
“This show reflects Historic Trappe’s commitment to scholarship, education, and connecting people with history through objects,” said Lisa Minardi, executive director of Historic Trappe. “By bringing together leading dealers and a range of lectures, panels, and presentations, we’re creating space for collectors and new audiences to engage directly with the material culture that continues to shape how we understand the past.”
A Landmark Exhibition and Engaging Programming
One of the centerpiece attractions will be The Conestoga Wagon: A Pennsylvania Icon, featuring a full-scale wagon on loan from a private Lancaster collection. First developed in the early 1700s, these wagons once transported goods across the region and became a symbol of early American industry and ingenuity.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can also attend lectures, panel discussions, and dealer-led presentations covering topics from Revolutionary War artifacts to American manuscripts and global trade’s influence on early American identity.
Featured speakers include historian Emily Sneff, Ph.D., and Michele Craig McDonald, Ph.D., along with a panel of experts discussing the evolving world of collecting for both private and public institutions.
A Weekend Destination Experience
Admission to the show also includes access to Historic Trappe’s nearby museums, including the Center for Pennsylvania German Studies, the Muhlenberg House, and the newly restored Speaker’s House—adding even more opportunities to explore local and national history.
From exclusive preview access to family-friendly general admission days, the event offers multiple ways to experience one of the region’s most anticipated new cultural gatherings.
