Hildene Capital Takes Minority Stake in Philadelphia’s CBC Holdings

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — CBC Holdings, a Philadelphia-area financial services group, announced that Hildene Capital Management, LLC, a credit-focused asset manager, has acquired a minority stake in the company. CBC’s management team will retain majority ownership, while financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CBC operates two niche financial businesses: CBC Settlement Funding, which purchases structured settlements, annuities, and deferred payments, and Deed Street Capital, a buyer of private mortgage notes.

“Hildene brings fresh energy and expertise to our group,” said William Skrym, CEO of CBC. “This relationship gives us the capital and capabilities to expand faster and strengthen our position as a leading investor in unique financial assets.”
