HARLEYSVILLE, PA — Harleysville Financial Corporation (OTCQX: HARL) said its board of directors approved a higher quarterly dividend after reporting a sharp increase in earnings and continued balance-sheet growth.
The company declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.35 per share, a 6.1% increase, payable February 25, 2026, to shareholders of record on February 11, 2026.
The dividend increase followed a strong fiscal first quarter ended December 31, 2025, in which Harleysville Financial reported net income of $2.67 million, or $0.74 per diluted share, up from $2.01 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, in the same quarter a year earlier. The year-over-year gain represents a 33% increase in profit.
President and Chief Executive Officer Brendan J. McGill said the results reflect steady execution across the company’s core business lines.
“Our solid financial performance this quarter was driven by steady loan growth, expansion in our investment portfolio and our unwavering commitment to asset quality,” McGill said. “The board’s decision to increase the dividend reflects our confidence in the strength of our balance sheet and our ongoing ability to create additional value for our shareholders.”
Total assets climbed to $940.1 million at quarter end, compared with $861.3 million a year earlier, as the company continued to grow loans and investments. Stockholders’ tangible book value rose to $25.67 per share, up from $24.13 per share at the end of the prior-year quarter.
McGill said the company remains focused on disciplined growth while maintaining its community banking model.
“We continue to build the franchise thoughtfully, supporting our customers and communities while maintaining strong capital and liquidity,” he said.
