PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man accused of threatening a gas station employee with a firearm following a verbal dispute in the city’s Nicetown–Tioga section.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division, the alleged incident occurred on January 21, 2026, at approximately 1:54 p.m. at the Luke Oil gas station located at 4421 North Broad Street. Investigators allege a Black male entered the business and became involved in a verbal dispute with another customer and store employees.
Police said the suspect allegedly left the store after stating he would return with a gun. Approximately 15 minutes later, the man returned after the other customer had departed. Authorities allege the suspect then reentered the gas station, pointed a firearm at an employee, and issued a threat. The suspect fled the scene on foot, walking eastbound on Wingohocking Street.
No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made.
Police described the suspect as a Black male between 40 and 50 years old, bald, with a medium build. At the time of the alleged incident, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue sweatpants.

All suspected criminal activity described remains an allegation. Any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
