HORSHAM, PAGrupo Bimbo has launched the second edition of its global Bimbo Dream campaign, offering 50 young girls from 23 countries the chance to train with FC Barcelona and meet some of the biggest names in women’s soccer.

Held in May 2025 at FC Barcelona’s facilities in Spain, the program welcomed girls aged 10 to 13 for an immersive sports and cultural experience. Participants trained with Barça Academy, took part in two days of practice sessions led by FC Barcelona coaches, and connected with star players Aitana Bonmatí, Mapi León, and Jana Fernández.

The itinerary went beyond the pitch. The group explored Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, baked bread at BIMBO®’s Santa Perpètua de Mogoda facility, and played a friendly match against Barça Academy teams. The girls represented nations across Latin America, North America, Europe, and Africa, including the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Morocco, and Venezuela.

Aitana Bonmatí, FC Barcelona midfielder and Spanish Women’s National Team member, said the initiative goes far beyond sports. “It’s gratifying to know that I can inspire girls who once had few role models in football and encourage them to dream big,” she said, adding that good nutrition is essential to performance and praising brands that create “transformative experiences for girls.”

The Bimbo Dream campaign, developed in collaboration with Disney/ESPN, is running across social and traditional media in July and August 2025. It underscores the brand’s message, “Nourish what makes you great,” by breaking barriers and fostering female talent in sports.

The initiative builds on Grupo Bimbo’s 2022 partnership with FC Barcelona, which made BIMBO® the main global partner of the club’s women’s team. In 2023, Bonmatí became the brand’s global ambassador, and the first Bimbo Dream in 2024 brought together 55 girls from 22 countries.

Through these efforts, Grupo Bimbo says it is committed to empowering the next generation of athletes and inspiring young people worldwide to pursue their dreams without limits.
