Good Neighbor Pharmacy Showcases Independent Pharmacy Excellence at 2025 ThoughtSpot Conference

Cencora

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Good Neighbor Pharmacy, a network of independent pharmacies supported by Cencora, gathered more than 4,000 pharmacy owners, partners, and industry experts at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for its flagship ThoughtSpot conference. Now in its 14th year, the four-day event focused on strategies to strengthen independent pharmacy sustainability and improve patient care.

The conference served as both a celebration and a forum for tackling challenges facing community pharmacies. Programming centered on growth strategies, advocacy, and evolving patient needs—including the push toward digital convenience while maintaining trusted face-to-face service.

“ThoughtSpot celebrates the essential role community pharmacies play as accessible healthcare destinations while giving us the opportunity to connect with our Good Neighbor Pharmacy members, learn from their successes and challenges, and collaborate as we navigate the evolving pharmacy landscape,” said Tim Cernohous, SVP & President of Community Retail and Long-Term Care Pharmacy at Cencora.

Cernohous added, “Pharmacists are facing increasing pressures, and our research shows that patients’ needs are shifting – they want the convenience of a digitally enhanced customer experience with traditional in-person touchpoints, including access to a pharmacist.”

This year’s event also recognized the 2025 Good Neighbor Pharmacy Champion Awards winners for their contributions to advocacy, clinical care, and storytelling:

  • Advocacy Champion: The Apothecary Shoppe of Salt Lake City, Utah, was honored for owner Kevin DeMass’s leadership in advocating for independent pharmacies and healthcare reform across all levels of government.

  • Storytelling Champion: Cypress Wellness Pharmacy of Fort Myers, Florida, led by Justin Ceravolo, received the award for using strategic marketing to expand its services and reach a broader audience—including families and pet owners.
