GLOBO Wins 2025 Silver Stevie Award for AI Innovation in Healthcare Language Access

GLOBO Language Solutions

PHILADELPHIA, PA — GLOBO Language Solutions has earned a 2025 Silver Stevie® Award in the Technology Breakthrough of the Year − Artificial Intelligence category, recognizing the company’s efforts to improve healthcare communication for patients with limited English proficiency.

The award, part of the Stevie Awards for Technology Excellence, highlights GLOBO’s two-year research and development push to develop AI-driven tools that enhance interpreter access in healthcare settings. The company was selected from among more than 1,500 entries submitted by organizations across 36 countries and industries.

“This recognition marks a watershed moment for GLOBO in advancing AI to expand accurate, culturally sensitive interpretation coverage across more touchpoints in the healthcare journey,” said Dipak Patel, CEO of GLOBO.

AI Tools Tackle Communication Gaps in Healthcare

GLOBO’s award-winning entry centers on GLOBO KAI™, an AI-powered interpreter app launched earlier this year and now available at over 3,000 U.S. healthcare facilities. The tool supports non-clinical, administrative interactions where human interpreters are often unavailable—key moments that can significantly affect care quality and patient trust.

Complementing that innovation is GLOBO Live Quality, an AI monitoring tool that evaluates 100% of live interpreter sessions to ensure professional standards. The app offers continuous quality oversight—something few healthcare systems currently provide due to a lack of standardized interpreter evaluation.

Both tools aim to mitigate language barriers—an often-overlooked driver of miscommunication, delayed diagnoses, and poor health outcomes.

Judges Cite Impact and Scalability

Stevie Awards judges praised the entry for its real-world impact. One called it “a thoughtful, mission-driven application of AI to a real and underserved need in healthcare.” Another noted the “clear deployment at scale, thoughtful pilot studies, and high user satisfaction metrics.”

Patel credited GLOBO’s AI team for their mission-driven focus. “Their work is truly making a difference,” he said. “When patients feel understood, they are more likely to follow care instructions, which ultimately leads to better health outcomes.”

The award ceremony will take place September 16 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Winners across categories—including biotech, aerospace, and healthcare—will be honored for advancing innovation across sectors.
