WILMINGTON, DE — Global Indemnity Group, LLC (NYSE: GBLI) announced that its subsidiary Penn-America Underwriters, LLC (PAU) has completed the acquisition of Sayata, an AI-enabled digital distribution marketplace and agency platform for commercial insurance.
The deal is part of GBLI’s broader strategy to strengthen PAU’s role in agency and insurance services following a recent business reorganization. The acquisition is expected to accelerate PAU’s growth by expanding its distribution channels, product offerings, and technology capabilities.
“The acquisition of Sayata directly supports our strategy to deliver faster, smarter distribution solutions for specialty insurance and new products,” said Praveen K. Reddy, president and CEO of PAU. “We are excited to welcome the Sayata team, and to invest and grow the business.”
Saul Fox, chairman of GBLI, said Sayata’s technology and partnerships align with the company’s long-term vision. “Sayata’s innovative technology and strong industry partnerships align perfectly with our vision under Project Manifest,” Fox said. “Together, we will expand our digital capabilities, deepen relationships with customers, and accelerate growth.”
Sayata, which has built a platform designed to simplify and streamline commercial insurance distribution, views the acquisition as an opportunity to expand its reach. “We see this partnership as a way to expand the reach of Sayata distribution and product portfolio, while continuing to deliver best-in-the-industry economics for our customers,” said Asaf Lifshitz, co-founder and CEO of Sayata.
Global Indemnity said the acquisition underscores its commitment to enhancing PAU’s market position and advancing its digital transformation strategy across the commercial insurance space.
