NEWTOWN, PA — Gentell has announced the acquisition of Casex, a well-established Latin American manufacturer of ostomy and wound care products. The acquisition, finalized on June 5, 2025, marks a significant step in Gentell’s strategy to expand its footprint in South America while enhancing its product offerings in the United States.
Casex, founded in 1985, operates manufacturing facilities in Brazil and Paraguay, distributing its products across South America and global markets. The company is a leader in the ostomy products sector, producing essential items such as colostomy and ileostomy bags, accessories, and a range of advanced and traditional wound care products.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Casex will be rebranded as Gentell, with all products distributed under the Gentell name. This move aligns with Gentell’s commitment to creating a unified presence while leveraging Casex’s established relationships and product registrations in South America.
“Gentell’s acquisition of Casex facilitates and enhances our growth in South America by taking advantage of existing relationships and product registrations, while at the same time enabling opportunities in the U.S. to expand our ostomy product line,” said David Navazio, President and CEO of Gentell.
