PHILADELPHIA, PA — A new dining destination is set to debut in University City this fall as Gather Food Hall opens its doors on Friday, October 31, 2025, inside the historic Bulletin Building at 3025 Market Street. The 13,000-square-foot space will feature a mix of Philadelphia staples and emerging culinary voices, uniting established names with minority-owned startups.

The inaugural lineup includes Federal Donuts & Chicken, Mucho Perú, Sahbyy Food, El Mictlan, and Bowl’d Masala, offering everything from gourmet donuts and Peruvian specialties to Cambodian fusion, Mexican street fare, and modern Indian-inspired cuisine. The food hall will operate daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11:00 p.m. on weekends, with Federal Donuts opening earlier at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast service.

Hospitality HQ (HHQ), one of the nation’s fastest-growing food hall management companies, is curating the project. Led by co-CEO and founding partner Chef Akhtar Nawab, HHQ brings a portfolio of acclaimed restaurants and community-driven dining spaces across major cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia.

“Philadelphia’s dining culture has experienced an incredible wave of innovation in recent years,” said Nawab. “We felt that University City — and the energy of Schuylkill Yards — was the perfect setting for a food hall that celebrates that spirit of growth and creativity.”

At the heart of Gather Food Hall will be The Bulletin Bar, a full-service bar inspired by the newspaper printing press that once occupied the site. The space blends industrial heritage with modern design and will serve craft cocktails, draft beer, and wine — making it a destination for happy hours, pre-train gatherings, and game-day meetups.

Beyond food and drink, Gather Food Hall serves a broader mission. Two of its vendor stalls were awarded to chefs facing financial and professional barriers, each supported by $25,000 grants, low-interest loans, and mentorship programs from industry veterans such as Jeff Benjamin of Vetri Cucina and Meegan Denenberg of Jeme Agency.

Gather also aims to address food insecurity among college students, partnering with nonprofit Believe in Students to provide 5,000 low-cost meals in its first year. The initiative is backed by a $250,000, 10-year commitment from Brandywine Realty Trust, the developer behind Schuylkill Yards.

“It’s hard to focus on school when you’re not sure where your next meal is coming from,” said Traci Kirtley, executive director of Believe in Students. “Gather Food Hall is establishing an innovative approach to solving this issue by not only feeding students but elevating the issue in our public consciousness.”

Located within Brandywine Realty Trust’s 14-acre, mixed-use Schuylkill Yards development, Gather joins a growing hub that connects Center City and University City with office, lab, residential, and retail spaces adjacent to 30th Street Station.

With a focus on inclusivity, mentorship, and community impact, Gather Food Hall is positioning itself as more than a place to eat — it’s a place to grow.
