WYOMISSING, PA — Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLPI) has appointed Carlo Santarelli as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations, a newly created role aimed at strengthening the company’s growth and capital markets positioning. He will officially begin on August 18, 2025, reporting to President and COO Brandon Moore.
Santarelli joins GLPI with more than 25 years of Wall Street experience, most recently serving as Managing Director of Gaming & Lodging Equity Research at Deutsche Bank. His prior roles include senior research positions at Bear Stearns, JP Morgan, and Wells Fargo, where he earned a reputation as a leading industry analyst through consistent top rankings in investor research polls and a data-driven approach to forecasting sector trends.
In his new capacity, Santarelli will help guide corporate strategy, identify and assess growth opportunities, and manage the company’s investor relations function. He will work closely with CEO Peter Carlino and the executive team to deepen GLPI’s relationships across institutional investors, analysts, and gaming operators.
Carlino praised the hire, citing Santarelli’s long-standing reputation and familiarity with the REIT’s evolution. “Carlo brings to GLPI an in-depth knowledge of the industry and its participants, having experienced GLPI’s original formation of the gaming triple-net-REIT structure from a research analyst and capital markets perspective,” Carlino said. “We value his deep network of contacts and look forward to the value of his contributions.”
Santarelli earned his economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and has long been regarded as a thought leader in the gaming and lodging sectors. His addition comes as GLPI continues to pursue strategic expansion within the gaming-focused real estate investment trust space.
The creation of this new senior position signals GLPI’s intent to enhance its engagement with the investment community while sharpening its focus on long-term strategic planning and deal execution.
