FORT WASHINGTON, PA — Fusion Search Partners has secured a new national agreement with Vizient, the country’s largest provider-driven healthcare performance improvement company, expanding access to executive search and leadership support services for hospitals and health systems across the United States.
Under the agreement, Fusion’s executive search services and related leadership advisory offerings will be available to Vizient client organizations at negotiated terms as they navigate leadership transitions, succession planning, and critical talent needs spanning clinical, financial, operational, and enterprise roles.
The collaboration opens the door for Vizient’s broad network of academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, and integrated health systems to tap into Fusion’s healthcare-focused search expertise. The goal, the companies said, is to help organizations address increasingly complex leadership challenges tied to healthcare delivery, financial pressures, and operational transformation.
Fusion’s role extends beyond recruitment. The firm positions itself as a partner during pivotal leadership moments, supporting newly appointed executives as they establish credibility, integrate into organizational culture, and accelerate early impact once in the role.
Greg Gerson, founder and chief executive officer of Fusion Search Partners, said the agreement reflects a shared commitment to supporting health systems at critical inflection points. He said the partnership combines executive and interim leadership support with AI-enabled analytics and insights to help organizations make stronger leadership decisions and improve early outcomes in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
As part of the agreement, Phil Dawes, a partner at Fusion Search Partners, will serve as the primary relationship lead, working directly with Vizient stakeholders and client organizations to coordinate leadership support and engagement.
The agreement comes as hospitals and health systems nationwide face heightened leadership turnover and succession challenges, driven by financial strain, workforce pressures, and continued shifts in care delivery models.
