DOYLESTOWN, PA — Fred Beans Automotive Group reached a remarkable milestone this year, celebrating 50 years in business. What began with a single dealership in Doylestown in 1975 has grown into an automotive powerhouse with 30 locations. Today, the original dealership remains the heart of the organization, where founder and president Fred Beans maintains his office and engages directly with customers.
Ford Motor Company recently recognized this achievement during a special visit to Fred Beans Ford of Doylestown. Led by Ford Blue and Model e President Andrew Frick, the visit included the presentation of a 50th-anniversary plaque to honor Beans’ contributions. “Fred’s blood runs Ford blue,” said Frick, who praised Beans for defying the odds faced by many first-generation business owners. He highlighted Fred Beans Automotive Group as one of the most respected dealerships in the industry and recalled Beans’ 2022 induction into Ford’s Top Volume Dealer Hall of Fame.
Reflecting on his company’s success, Beans shared his gratitude and principles. “I came here with a vision of building a good dealership,” he said. “Some of my ideas included treating customers as friends, because friends do business with friends.” Beans also expressed his loyalty to the brand, saying, “Everything I own and everything I have ever accomplished…has come as a result of starting with Ford, and I think that is why I am so loyal to Ford.”
From that vision, the company has expanded significantly, including eight Ford dealerships in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It also operates a leading Parts Distribution Center (PDC), which consistently ranks as the top national provider of Ford Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. During the visit, Frick joined Beans on a tour of the PDC and met with general managers from their Ford dealerships to discuss their shared success.
Fred Beans Automotive Group’s achievements over the past five decades reflect a commitment to quality, community, and innovation. Looking ahead, the organization aims to build on its legacy, continuing to serve customers with the same dedication that has defined its first 50 years.
