FMG Leading Highlights Human-Centered Strategies for Healthcare Tech Adoption

PHILADELPHIA, PA — FMG Leading has released its Spring 2025 Healthcare Insights Report, emphasizing the need for healthcare organizations to align human capital strategies with their technology investments. Titled “Leading Healthcare in the AI Era: People Strategies to Ensure Tech Investments Deliver,” the report provides actionable recommendations for bridging people and technology to enhance clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.

The report highlights a growing challenge in the healthcare sector as organizations increasingly adopt advanced technologies like artificial intelligence without adequately considering how staff interact with these tools. Supporting this concern, an American Medical Association survey published in February 2025 revealed that 66% of physicians reported using AI in 2024, a significant increase from 38% in 2023. However, 25% of physicians expressed more concern than enthusiasm about these technologies.

Adding to these challenges, a March 2025 study by Writer, a generative AI platform, uncovered resistance from employees, with 31% admitting to “sabotaging” their organizations’ AI strategies. Among Gen Z workers, this figure rose to 41%, while 42% of executives described generative AI adoption as causing divisions within their companies.

“While AI-enabled and other groundbreaking technologies are expected to help solve numerous, longstanding healthcare challenges, they won’t serve as automated springboards to value creation,” said Dr. Matt Brubaker, Chairman and CEO of FMG Leading. “Leaders need to examine the interplay between these technologies and their people, processes, and structures, bringing real wisdom and experience to the table in order to realize their full benefits and remain competitive in the years to come.”

The report, currently free for download, integrates surveys from FMG Leading healthcare clients alongside actionable strategies for technology implementation and best practices for human capital management. By prioritizing people-centric approaches, FMG Leading underscores the importance of fostering alignment between teams and tools to ensure sustainable results in the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
